By You’d have to be living underground to not know that Meghan Markle, of Suits fame, is marrying Prince Harry.
What you may not know, is that…
Her dad, Thomas Markle, has apparently never met Prince Harry.
Call me old fashioned, but isn’t that pretty goddamn weird?
Would you not want to meet the person your daughter is going to marry, before she marries him?
Heck, wouldn’t you want the person you’re going to marry to meet the rest of your family before you marry them, just to make sure everybody gets on?
Maybe once they’re married she’s not intending on seeing her family again, perhaps she’s going to be whisked away into a castle, never to be released.
Either way, Thomas was spotted looking at stories about the couple in an internet cafe in Mexico, so he’s probably kinda nervous about meeting his new extended family for the first time on the wedding day.
What’s weird, is that we’re going to a wedding, just down the road from the Royal wedding, on the same day, the 19th May.
Luckily we’ve already booked our accomodation, but you can be sure it’s going to be a friggin nightmare getting there.
In fact, as I write this, I’m wondering if we should leave the night before the wedding. Although that may cause issues with the friend who’s agreed to look after BeeBee.
Hmmm, something I’ll need to think about.
Anyhoo… I hope that Thomas like’s Prince Harry and vice-versa, otherwise it could be a very awkward father of the bride speech afterwards!
