The Wet Tongue of a Dog

By Posted on 2 min read 1494 views

I was woken up at 4am this morning by BeeBee, our dog, who was whining because there was a storm going on outside.

Something she’s going to have to get used to where we’ve moved!

I went back to sleep, to get up a few hours later because the builders were coming over with a plumber, to sort out the pipework in the baby’s room.

Just some simple work, a question of taking a radiator off and moving some pipes.

At least, that’s how it started…

Two and a half hours later, the result was very different.

Because the house we’ve bought is quite large, it’s going to take them a day just to drain the system. Then they’re struggling to do the changes, because the pipework is right up against the floorboards of the ceilings.

If we were going to be plaster boarding over, it wouldn’t be a problem. But we want to keep the beams, which means they can’t bring the pipework down, and they can’t solder it where it is, because it will burn the floorboards above the pipes.

The solution… take the carpet up in the room above, take the floorboards up and then adjust the pipework from above rather than below.

And so it went on.

The end result… a lot more money than I expected, and the morning when I get my days work done, gone without any of it being done.

Dang.

Anyhoo… I’m back on it now, but it means I’m only going to be sending one email today. I know you’ll miss me, but I’ll be back tomorrow as usual 😉

And if you didn’t check this out yesterday, the feedback I’ve been getting is good.

Michael

P.S. Business Ignition October edition is going to print and post on Monday, which means I’m gonna let you know all about what’s inside over the weekend.

And it’s going to make you sweat it’s so good.
