It wouldn’t have mattered how many times you told me that a smile from your own baby can light up your day.

But now I have a baby, I totally understand 🙂

A smile from Max can completely make my day.

Like everything else in life, it ’s something I had to experience to understand.

I’m incapable of being told something and simply believing it. I have to go and test it, experiment with it, and learn for myself.

The knowledge from others helps me to do that rapidly, far faster than I’d be able to without it, but I still have to learn for myself.

Doing this is something that I attribute my online success to.

It’s not just that some people spout so much garbage that it simply beggars belief, it’s more to do with personality.

And that’s something nobody talks about, so I’m going to 😉

Understanding who you are is key to building a successful business. It doesn’t matter whether that business is online or offline, if you want to be a success, you need to understand yourself.

In Business Ignition, I teach my way of building business online.

Personally, and I’m slightly biased, I think it is the simplest, fastest and easiest way to go about doing it.

But… it suits my personality.

I want to spend as little time as possible running my businesses, but in order to do that, I’m prepared to spend a lot of time to get them up and running.

For me it’s about the long-term goal. I’ll happily spend three months, six months or even a year, working like a dog, if I know I’ll be able to take money out of that business for years to come by only working a few hours a week.

I know that I love writing emails, I know that I like doing things that are able to be scheduled so I’m not constrained by specific times, and I build my business models around that.

So…

Ask yourself what you enjoy doing. Ask yourself how much time you have available now and want to spend in the future.

Then use other peoples ideas, business models and advice, but adjust it to suit your personality.

Michael
